Throughout the last half century, the company has gained significant experience in Research & Development the cosmetics field. The company’s R&D department, located at Hunca’s factory in Çerkezköy, is composed of experts who are dedicated to their work. Hunca’s experience in R&D is continuously growing due to this professional department.
Our highly capable R&D team is responsible for formula development, process development, microbiology, toxicology, packaging, conducting in-vivo/in-vitro tests, skin & clinical analyses and conducting stability studies of final products. After the marketing department submits its project proposals to the R&D department, the R&D team conducts a preliminary study on the proposals. This preliminary work lets them classify the project proposals into 3 groups; short, medium and long term. Following this classification, the team conducts an extensive and comprehensive research on each project and then they start to work on formulation studies. Short-term studies take 6-12 months; medium-term studies take 1-3 years and long-term studies take 3-7 years. If a product is complex and cell studies, gene expression studies, clinical tests, in-vivo applications are required and involved in the process, the R&D department will need to spend more time on the project.
In product development processes, when necessary the R&D department gets support from the technical departments of the raw material vendors and even the research departments of the universities in order to develop the best product that meets the need of the consumers.
